Community Mediation, Inc. (CM) will receive $30,000 to participate in Empower New Haven’s Non-Profit Academy as a 2006 Community Development Grant award recipient. The Community Development Grant awards are aimed at providing capacity building support for non-profit organizations that serve the Empowerment Zone communities, have been in existence for at least five years and have annual budgets of over $250,000. This is the second year that Empower New Haven has offered New Haven Non-Profit Academy grant awards to both Community Development and Emerging Non-Profit Organizations.
