To celebrate the opening of the city's first new branch in 40 years, the New Haven Free Public Library requests nominations for special heroes who come from the Hill. Nominate someone living or working in the Hill neighborhood who has made a difference in your life--aunt, teacher, neighbor, business person, community advocate...You decide!
All nominees will be recognized on opening day of the new Wilson Branch Library, and three Hill Heroes will be chosen by lottery to receive a $50 gift certificate from Atticus Bookstore Cafe. Nomination forms (they're short!) will be available soon at any New Haven branch library; nominations must be received by Sept. 1.
