Water, water everywhere...
The Main Branch of the New Haven Free Public Library sustained a waterpipe break today and we're still evaluating damage. While we shopvac the floors and remove soggy books from shelves, the library is closed to the public. We will reopen as soon as possible--and fully intend to carry out our BIG READ-ALOUD on Wednesday at ALL BRANCHES. Stay tuned!!

See the Festival from the inside out--Become a Volunteer!
From June 9-23, lend a helping hand--morning, noon or night--to mount the 12th annual Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven. Join forces with hundreds of volunteers by assisting in popular festival walking tours, manning the information booth on the Green, helping with children’s activities, ushering at performance venues, lending support in the festival’s main office, surveying festival-goers--to name just a few of the hands-on jobs available.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the festival, so join the fun and help the Festival come alive! Contact Rachel Shapiro at volunteer@artidea.org, go to www.artidea.org or call 498.3750.
