ALERT to animal shelters

Please visit the Pets for the Elderly Foundation, an Ohio nonprofit that funds up to $50 of adoption costs when people over age 60 adopt a cat or dog from a participating shelter. Currently 31 states participate in this program, but not Connecticut. There is a long waiting list to participate, but this seems a great model for CT animal shelters to look at.
