The New Haven Mayor’s Community Arts Grant Program supports community and youth groups as well as individuals who are presenting, teaching or practicing artists working in the City of New Haven. Nonprofit arts organizations working with neighborhood groups as well as individuals without nonprofit status are eligible. Letter of intent to apply is due by Ma y 14. Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend information sessions offered at city library branches as follows:
May 3, 5pm-- Wilson (Hill) Branch
May 5, 5pm--Fair Haven Branch
May 11, 5pm—Mitchell Branch
May 12, 5pm--Stetson Branch
May 13, 5:30pm—Downtown Library
Workshops on budget preparation, marketing and production are being developed, and Cultural Affairs staff are also available to provide assistance.This program is managed by the Department of Cultural Affairs, and has supported over 163 organizations since its inception in 2000, helping to fund arts and cultural activities such as festivals, murals, performances, and apprenticeships in New Haven’s neighborhoods.
