Flexible Work Space at the Bourse in New Haven
Freelancers, writers, students and entrepreneurs finally have a coworking space alternative to crowded coffee shops or the solitary sofa at home. The Bourse, located at 839 Chapel St., offers a community space for work, sharing ideas and building relationships with "coworkers."
Members can plug in their laptops and cell phones, settle into a soft club chair and get to work in an open urban loft environment with café tables, drafting tables and dedicated cubicles. Users are encouraged to share ideas, give and receive feedback and vet ideas among peers in the presentation- ready Debate Society clubroom.
"In a community where coffee shops are the only outlet for entrepreneurs or people who might normally work at home but seek the community of others, The Bourse is a 'landing spot' with a professional atmosphere," says Robert Orr, creator of the Bourse. That professional atmosphere includes Bourse Bootcamp, a series of professional seminars and workshops.
Flexible pricing options include day and multi-day passes, monthly, "company," and custom rates. bourse@boursenewhaven.com or 203-980-8202.
