WalMart in Derby has sent out an appeal for 30 greeters to help with crowd control for Black Friday. The shift actually starts at 6:15 pm Thursday (Thanksgiving ) evening and runs through to 6am the following morning.
Connecticut Transportation has scheduled a special bus to help people in New Haven get to the job. It leaves from the Green in New Haven at 5:30pm. Be aware: Walmart policy requires a drug test for this.
Pay is $10 bucks an hour, and requires helping the crowd control and just being visible. They will provide some training and orientation at the beginning of the shift. Interested parties can call Laura at Kaiser Whitney 203-562-0511.

Theater lovers opportunity for in-depth look at Long Wharf's Macbeth
This
season, Long Wharf Theatre brings to its stage a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s
Macbeth, framing the tragedy of ambition and murder in a hospital in the
American Midwest in 1969. The second season of SPARK!, an audience
participatory program led by Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting, will offer four
extended conversations about theatre, from first rehearsal through opening, in

Connecticut Activists Protest Against Tar Sands Pipeline in DC Sunday

Washington, DC, to call on President Obama
