A Broken Umbrella Theatre will host an open studio/gallery experiment at The Smokestack, 446A Blake St., New Haven, on Saturday, June 9, from 2-7 pm.
The public is invited to experience the ensemble’s brainstorming and experimentation process. Director Rachel Alderman, set designer Brandon Fuller, lighting designer Jason Wells, costume designer Jacy Barber, and composer Chrissy Gardner experiment with the themes, history, and design elements that will influence the creation of the play Freewheelers, which will be produced next spring.
