CT DMV now offers a new scheduling system and special test center in Cheshire for 16- or 17-year-olds or their parents who want to cut wait times for taking the learner's permit test. It is open to anyone statewide.
A $59 payment must be made through a major credit card and is the same as going to a major DMV service office. Test hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 am to 7 pm, Fridays 8 am to 4 pm, and Saturdays 8 am to 2 pm.
